EXCELLENT SEASON OPENING FOR THE SWEDISH TEAM

Swede Charlotte Kalla and Marcus Hellner won the first World Cup races of the 2008/2009 season in front of their home crowd in Gällivare (SWE). The 21-year-old Tour de Ski winner from last year, Charlotte Kalla took her first World Cup victory on her home course. In the men's competition, 22-year-old Marcus Hellner, another native of Gällivare, won the 1st World Cup of his carreer. Congratulations to them and also to Therese JOHAUG (4th), Ariane FOLLIS (5th) Jusyna KOWALCZYK (7th) and Ritta-Lisa ROPONEN (8th) for the Women and Tore-Ruud HOFSTAD (5th) and Johan OLSSON for the Men, all on Salomon's boots and bindings.
