The swedish champion Anja Paerson claimed a new success in Crans Montana this weekend, winning the combined event ahead of Riesch and Vonn. Third after the downhill run, the 2007 combined World champion achieved a superb slalom and claimed her 3rd victory this season after her successes in St Moritz downhill and super-G.  Her Salomon team-mate Ingrid Jacquemod also achieved  one of her very best performances in the discipline, taking 5th.
Confirming her domination and crystal globe in the discipline, the american Vonn set the fastest time in Saturday’s downhill ahead of Goetschl and Fanchini. Our Salomon speed specialists ended up in the Top 10 with Anja Paerson 7th, Marie Marchand Arvier  9th and Ingrid Jacquemod 10th…

In the men’s races in Kranjska Gora, american Ted Ligety offered a new victory to the US Ski Team as he won the Giant Slalom ahead of Moelgg and Blardone. Salomon GS specialist Davide Simoncelli, back in great form, took a good 7th. Impressive this winter, Moelgg claimed then a great success in the Slalom event just ahead of Ivica Kostelic and the very young austrian skier Marcel Hirscher, aged only 19, who claimed his first podium with bib number 31! Confirming his come back in top positions, Salomon skier and Italian star Giorgio Rocca ended up in 10th place. Giorgio and Davide, as well as all the Salomon team, will now look for new podiums and victories this week in Bormio World Cup finals!
