Salomon athletes Ophelie David and Lars Lewen claimed a great double in Meiringen Skier-X World Cup!
The season's last FIS World Cup events in skier-X were staged in Grindelwald and Meiringen, Switzerand. In the men's race, Saab Salomon Pro Team member Lars Lewen captured the win in both events and his first World Cup victories. After his severe fall at the X-Games, the swedish skier was back in great form and achieved two impressive races. Already winner of 4 World Cups this season, his Salomon team-mate and World Cup leader Tomas Kraus finished 4th in Grindenwald and 3rd in Meiringen, earning enough points before the World Cup finals to secure his victory at the WC Overall ranking. Thanks to his double success, Lars came back in 2nd position behind Tomas and will now fight against Hayer and Barr during the finals to keep his 2nd place spot!

In the ladies' events, Saab Salomon Pro Rider
Ophelie David of France won the ladies competition in Meiringen, clinching her fifth consecutive FIS World Cup title this season. Disapointed after her fall and final 5th place in Grindenwald a few days before, the Skier-X super star proved again with this new win that she is a champion.  As she is now leading the World Cup Overall ranking with 144 points over Sasa Faric, winner in Grindenwald and 2nd in Meiringen, Ophelie already secured her Overall WC victory before the final race in Italy. Her Salomon team-mate Meryl Boulangeat, again on the podium with a great 3rd place in Grindenwald, is currently standing in 3rd position Overall, a few points behind Faric. She is now looking for a great performance in the last race to jump on the 2nd second spot and to achieve a great double with Ophelie !
