Highlights
Twice World Slalom Champion (St Anton, 2001 and Are, 2007), Mario Matt has already claimed 12 World Cup victories among the greatest classics along with 18 podiums.
After his latest gleaning success during the 2009 Are World Cup finals, this skier from St Anton ran a series of tests on Salomon skis equipped with new Powerline technology. Mario was so convinced by the tests, also done with new X3 ski boots, he has decided to return to the Salomon brand who followed him throughout his first skiing titles.
With victories in Kitzbuhel and Schladming in 2000, followed by a World Champion title in St Anton 2001, infront of his home fans, the Austrian champion and Salomon created a page in history introducing revolutionary short skis into Slalom racing.
Reunited again, Mario Matt and Salomon head on a conquest of new victories with 2 prime targets: the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and overall Slalom World Cup ranking!
