Winning 3 medals in 3 different disciplines at major events, Norvegian Hedda Berntsen achieved an historical feat! Amazing athlete, Hedda actually claimed a bronze medal in slalom back in St Anton 2001 World Championships and few years before, she also clinched Gold in the Telemark World Championships 1997! Passionate for all gliding sports (she loves wakeboarding and surfing too), she started Ski Cross in 2007 and took 7th in Les Contamines for her first ever World Cup before she claimed her first victory on the same course in 2009...
French up-coming star Marion Josserand offered a big smile to the French team following her teammate and great favorite Ophelie David's fall. Racing together in the 1/4 finales, the two frenchies were fighting for the 2nd position when Ophelie made a mistake and had a massive crash on a jump but fortunately without any injury. Audacious, Marion then made it to the finals and thanks to a great tactic, she jumped on the first ever Ski Cross Olympic podium.

Karin Huttary, the 2005 World Champion and 2009 vice World Champion, has achieved a superb race until the final run when she did a mistake right after the start and lost too much speed to come back in the Top 3. Ending in 4th position, Karin, just like Ophelie David, both great favorites for Gold, had problems with the very unusual shape of the first two jumps. Even if both Ski Cross queens are really disappointed today, they have together achieved amazing victories and written the history of Ski Cross...
Salomon, who supports the Ski Cross and its athletes since the very beginning, having notably created the first ever Ski Cross World Tour back in 2002, congratulates its champions Andreas Matt, Hedda Berntsen and Marion Josserand: they offer Salomon 3 out of the 6 first ever Ski Cross Olympic medals!
